Lead Developer - C#.NET, SQL Server, Agile – PERM £48K-£55K p.a. St Helens, Merseyside
Client has free onsite parking and is located on the motorway network for an easy commute.
Reporting directly to the Technical Operations Manager, the Lead Developer will play a key role in the initial product support and then development and migration to new systems planned for 2019.
The successful candidate will lead, mentor, guide a small team (2 x developers and 1 x DBA / BI Reporter) of technical staff for our client in Knowsley ensuring that existing systems and bespoke integrations maintain maximum uptime, plan and integrate new systems and assist with the development of replacement enterprise solutions. Your team will be have the backing of a wider development and technical team within group, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity to really put your stamp on creating new enterprise grade products for the organisation.
You will provide guidance, leadership and problem-solving expertise on all technical issues
Oversee the quality of the teams work output
Assist with the scoping, design and planning of new solutions
Assist with the capturing of new business requirements
Product maintenance of the existing systems in place
Triage, fix and root cause any issues which arise
Working with the wider project team, assist with the development of new solutions
Oversee the technical transition of enterprise solutions within the business
Oversee the creation of technical documentation
Manage the relationship with our key partner
Management of holiday rota, job (reactive / non-reactive) planning and absence
Identify training needs, action training where possible and mentor as needed
Hold regular one to ones with staff
We are looking for:
Excellent mentorship and leadership skills and be of strong character
Be fully proficient in providing solutions utilising Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 (C#) and above as well as MS SQL Server.
Candidates to have a minimum of 6+ years' experience in C# in an Object Orientated Programming environment utilising ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working in a team environment utilising source control software, preferably Team Foundation Server, is essential.
It would be advantageous if you are proficient in developing disparate systems using web services and WCF, other areas of .Net Framework 3.5.
