Click Digital have made the shortlist of The Drum Recruitment Business Awards in the Best Campaign category.
The awards, back for their 15th year, reward excellence in recruitment across business and creative. They are advocates of effective advertising campaigns and each year seek out the very best in the industry to reward their efforts.
Click Digital entered the awards for our unique attraction campaign, the ‘Crack Our Code competition. This was created to celebrate our rebrand from Network Compucare to Click Digital and the launch of our new website to attract tech-savvy candidates to interact with us and ultimately search and apply for jobs
With the help of our partners, Pertemps Network Group, and their marketing department, we aimed to target qualified candidates nationwide with the right mindset for the digital world through our online campaign and email marketing.
Users who landed on our homepage had to ‘break’ a code to reveal a secret page. If successful, users filled out a form for a chance to win a VR headset. The secret code was the ‘Konami cheat code’ found in a number of classic video games from the 80’s and 90’s. Hints were displayed in binary to relate with the target market and graphics were created to look like the Street Fighter game – a slight curve-ball being that it was produced by Capcom (we didn’t want to make it too easy!)
Months of planning and hard work resulted in outstanding responses and feedback from candidates; and an award nomination for Best Campaign! As a recently rebranded company in a niche market, this is a great achievement. Our efforts, along with the PNG marketing crew, show how a creative campaign can result in brilliant attraction and retention of new candidates.
The awards event takes place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 7 September. Fingers crossed we return with some positive news. Time to dust off our best suits!
